As well as helping individuals with the general issues outlined on the previous page, I provide counselling in three specialist areas: Eating Disorders, Couples Counselling and Workplace Counselling.

 

 

 

 

 

Eating Disorders

 

As one of the leading Eating Disorder practitioners in the South East, I work with clients who are suffering with specific Eating Disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder and also with associated eating problems including obesity, food cravings and failed dieting. I believe it is important to understand the underlying emotional issues of the individual client as well as dealing with their particular eating behaviours in order to create a personal plan for them.

 

I recently founded the Sussex Eating Disorders Clinic to provide counselling, support and advice for people suffering from eating disorders in the locality. I also train other counsellors and members of the medical and helping professions in all aspects of Eating Disorders and eating problems.

 

 

Couples Counselling

 

I have a substantial practice working with couples to help them with their relationships as well as training other counsellors in this area. My aim is to help clients understand and express their own needs as well as listening to those of their partner. By providing a safe, non-judgemental environment it is possible for couples to learn to appreciate the basis of the problems in their relationship. They are then able to move on to change their perspective and learn to help each other.

 

 

Workplace Counselling

 

I have extensive experience providing counselling and training for businesses, companies and professional organisations.  Sadly an increasing number of people in the workplace suffer with emotional and psychological problems which cost employers an estimated £28 billion a year in lost output.  As well as helping to resolve specific issues between employers and employees, I help employers understand the potential problems that can arise in order to avoid or mitigate them at the outset.
